Economic Studies (IES)
Thrust area for BBUNL Group management in 2009-10 was to strengthen the core
competencies of each of the Group companies, diversify into non-core area where
the companies can excel with minimum investment and achieve Turnaround
performance during the year 2009-10.
BBUNL Group management is proud to announce that its set goal had been achieved
through a spectacular turnaround performance during 2009-10 registering 36%
improvement in Production (from Rs. 423.53 crore in 2008-09 to Rs.578.72 crore
in 09-10), 509% growth in Cash Profit (from Rs. 2.13 crore in 2008-09 to Rs.
12.97 crore in 09-10). All the subsidiary companies improved both physical and
financial performance in 2009-10. Wagon delivery by the Group companies improved
to 1858 in 09-10 from 1287 in 08-09 (growth - 44.4%). BBUNL Group companies are
having a comfortable order book position of around Rs.1500 crore as on 1st April
